Menkere

Menkere

 

(also Mengkere), a river in Yakut ASSR; right tributary of the Lena River. Length, 402 km; basin area, 15,900 sq km. The Menkere rises from two sources, the Syncha and Nelan rivers in the Orulgan Range (Verkhoiansk system). In its upper course it is a mountain river; in its lower course it meanders. The Menkere is fed by snow and rain.
