Micro Channel

Also known as Micro Channel Architecture (MCA), it was an earlier, proprietary 32-bit bus from IBM used in PS/2, RS/6000 and certain ES/9370 models. Micro Channel cards contained a unique ID that eliminated the error-prone task of setting DIP switches on ISA cards, the primary peripheral expansion of the era. MCA supported 15 levels of bus mastering and transferred data from 20 to 80MBytes/sec. In late 1996, IBM discontinued its use in favor of PCI. See PC data buses and PCI.

Types of Expansion Cards
In the PC, Micro Channel, along with ISA, EISA, VL-bus and AGP, have disappeared. PCI and PCI Express buses become mainstream.

In this review paper, many latest published papers have been reviewed and complied for easy reference, The following are the concluding remarks which are drawn : 1).the existing electronic systems seriously face the challenges to meet out the cooling demand.2) The high density ICs generate more heat and suffocate in the heat dissipating process even though with existing cooling techniques.3) The novel liquid system, known as nanofluids, is being developed and applied in the heat exchanging systems and electronic cooling as well.4) Many researchers suggested that the Electronics cooling with micro channel and nanofluids are the most promising in the future.5) However, the application of nanofluids as coolant come across the limitations such as physically not stable and expensive.
Micro channel chip structure is a long separation channel, the other parts of the structure, because of the existence of the photoresist pinhole, resulting in the end of the glass structure surface is also affected by the corresponding pinhole, appear many pits, seriously affect the appearance of the chip image.
