A family of bacteria in the order Actinomycetales; aerial hyphae are formed in all genera except Micromonospora; saprophytic soil organisms.

Results showed that Actinobacteria isolated in this study exhibited high level of diversity, as the 87 isolates were distributed among 5 suborders: Streptomycineae (n = 53), Micrococcineae (n = 16), Corynebacterineae (n = 16), Micromonosporineae (n = 1), and Propionibacterineae (n = 1) within the phylum Actinobacteria.
