Ultra-Mobile PC

An earlier lightweight tablet PC with an on-screen keyboard, introduced in 2006. Weighing two pounds or less and using a hard drive for content, the Ultra-Mobile PC (UMPC) ran under the Windows Tablet PC operating system with Touch Pack software. Both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth were included. Code-named Origami, the Ultra-Mobile PC followed Microsoft's Windows CE-based media player (see Portable Media Center). See tablet and Tablet PC.
