Morki

 

an urban-type settlement and the center of Morki Raion, Mari ASSR. Morki is situated 56 km northeast of the Shelanger railroad station on the Zelenyi Dol—Tabashino branch line and 92 km southeast of Ioshkar-Ola. There is a logging and timber distribution establishment and a creamery. Morki has a people’s amateur theater.
