Specifically, motor springs are used for cable retraction, power generation etc., while power springs are used for retracting applications such as seat belt webbing, tape measures and dog leads, seat recliner, window regulator mechanisms etc.
The motor can be assembled into the enclosure as part of one process, and then the mating between motor springs and PCB pads happens on final assembly when the PCB is secured to the enclosure.
