Musashino

(mo͞osä`shĭno͞o), city (1990 pop. 139,077), Tokyo Metropolis, E central Honshu, Japan, on the Sumida River. It is a suburb of Tokyo with several electrical machinery plants.

Musashino

 

a city in Japan, located on the island of Honshu in Tokyo Prefecture. Population, 137,000 (1970). A satellite city of Tokyo, Musashino is an important transportation junction. Scientific research laboratories for the electronics industry are located in the city.
