Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly

 

(Scholarly Papers of Institutions of Higher Learning), a series of journals published by the Ministry of Higher and Specialized Secondary Education of the USSR.

The series includes the journals Ekonomicheskie nauki (Economic Studies; published since 1958, 12 issues a year, 1974 circulation of 14,500), Filosofskie nauki (Philosophical Studies; since 1958, with six issues a year and a circulation of 21,800), Nauchnyi kommunizm (Scientific Communism; since 1973, with six issues a year and a circulation of 15,600), Filologicheskie nauki (Philological Studies; since 1958, with six issues a year and a circulation of 3,200), and Biologicheskie nauki (Biological Studies; since 1958, with 12 issues a year and a circulation of 1,900).

The journals publish the results of research in their respective disciplines, conducted primarily at institutions of higher learning. They also include articles by Soviet and foreign scholars describing research on current scholarly problems, the most important material from interschool conferences and meetings, articles exchanging views on scholarly questions, bibliographic surveys, reviews, and material on teaching methods. The series is issued by the Vysshaia Shkola Publishing House in Moscow.
