Nauka i Religiia

 

(Science and Religion), a monthly atheistic popular-science journal; organ of the All-Union Znanie (Knowledge) Society. The journal has appeared in Moscow since 1959.

Nauka i religiia was established to disseminate a scientifically materialistic world view, to struggle for the formation of communistic moral values, and to propagandize a scientifically atheistic education. The journal publishes materials on the history and theory of scientific atheism, on the methods and practice of atheistic propaganda, literature and art, and on the criticism of Islamic ideology. Circulation, 390,000 (1974).
