Nazilli

 

a city in southwestern Turkey in Aydin vilayet (province), on the Izmir (Smyrna)-Afyonkarahisar railroad and highway. Population, 46,000 (1970). A cotton combine (constructed in 1937 with the assistance of the USSR) and a vegetable cannery are located there. Nazilli is the trade center of an agricultural region (cotton, fruit, tobacco).
