Neuilly-sur-Seine

(nöyē`-sür-sĕn), city (1991 pop. 62,033), Hauts-de-Seine dept., N central France. One of the wealthiest suburbs of Paris, Neuilly-sur-Seine also manufactures machines, boilers, and precision instruments. The American Hospital of Paris is there.

a city in France on the right bank of the Seine River, in the department of Hauts-de-Seine. Population, 71,000 (1968). An industrial suburb of Paris, Neuilly-sur-Seine has machine-building (especially motor vehicles), chemical, and food-processing industries. A motion-picture studio is also located in the city.
