Niuvchim

 

an urban-type settlement in Syktyvdinskii Raion, Komi ASSR, located 50 km south of Syktyvkar. Landing on the right bank of the Sysola River, a tributary of the Vychegda. The iron foundry established here in the mid-18th century was modernized in 1930 and now produces furnace and industrial castings. Timber cutting is carried on.
