Of the four compounds isolated from dried leaves of cabbage, nonacosane and pheophytin did not inhibit 2-aminoanthracene (2AA) or N-methyl-N-nitrosourea-induced mutagenesis, whereas 15 nonacosane was more effective than [Beta]-sitosterol.
