Northern European Sea
the Russian term for the body of water bounded by the Scandinavian Peninsula, Bear Island (Bjørnøya), and Spitsbergen on the east, Greenland on the west, and Iceland on the south. The Northern European Sea is usually divided into the Greenland Sea and the Norwegian Sea.
