Notora
a river in the Yakut ASSR, a left tributary of the Aldan. It is 308 km long and drains an area of 7,440 sq km. The river is fed by snow and rain. High water lasts from May through July, with freshets occurring later. The mean flow rate 37 km from the mouth is approximately 7 cu m per sec. The Notora freezes over in October and is frozen solid by December; it thaws in May. The Yakutsk-Ust’-Maia automobile highway runs along the valley of the upper Notora.
