Novyi Zritel’


(New Spectator), a Soviet weekly journal published in Moscow from 1924 to 1929. Novyi zritel’ was originally the organ of the Moscow Department of Public Education. In 1927 it became Ezhenedel’nik teatra, kino, muzyki, estrady i tsirka (Weekly for Theater, Cinema, Music, Variety Stage, and Circus), and in 1928 it became an organ of the Moscow Provincial Political Education Committee and the Board of Entertainment Enterprises. In 1929, Novyi zritel’ merged with the journal Sovremennyi teatr (Modern Theater).
