OMAP

(Open Media Application Platform) A system-on-chip (SoC) family from Texas Instruments that is used in smartphones, tablets and other portable devices. Introduced in 1999, OMAP chips use ARM CPU cores and include I/O, screen display, audio and 2D/3D video processing. See mobile platform and SoC.
