Obermayer's reagent
[′ō·bər‚mī·ərz rē‚ā·jənt] (chemistry)
A 0.4% solution of ferric chloride in concentrated hydrochloric acid; used to test for indican in urine, with a pale-blue or deep-violet color indicating positive.
