Obva

 

a river in Perm’ Oblast, RSFSR. A right tributary of the Kama River, it flows into the Kama Reservoir. The Obva River is 247 km long and drains an area of 6,720 sq km. Its source is on the eastern slopes of the Upper Kama upland; its lower course meanders. The river is fed mainly by melted snow. The mean flow rate is 41.7 cu m per sec. The Obva freezes in late October or November and thaws in late April or early May.
