Oder-Havel Canal

 

a canal in the German Democratic Republic, connecting Oranienburg on the Havel River with Hohensaaten on the Oder River. It is 82.8 km long and has an average depth of 2 m. The difference in elevation between the Barnim Plateau and the Oder Marshes (36 m) is overcome with two boat lifts.
