In east-central OK, south of Tulsa; organized Nov 16, 1907 from Creek lands. Name Origin: For a Creek town in Russell County, AL; from oki mulgi 'boiling waters,' probably referring to a spring.

    Under this agreement, Verdisys will drill multiple laterals to test several separate oil and gas formations in four existing wells located in Okmulgee County, Oklahoma.
    This field is located in Okmulgee County, Oklahoma and was originally discovered in 1920 with oil production from four zones as follows: Bartlesville Sand at approximately 1,800' the Booch (Tannehall) Sands at approximately 2,100', Dutcher Sands at 2,390' and the Wilcox Sand at approximately 2,830'.
    The Company intends to use the initial proceeds to complete the acquisition of the Ewell Prospect in Okmulgee County, Oklahoma, perforate and place into production the recently drilled Ewell #1B Well and re-complete other existing wells with tested and "behind pipe" untested reserves of both oil and gas in the Ewell Prospect and the El Grande Prospect in Faulkner County, Arkansas.
