Oloviannaia

 

an urban-type settlement and center of the Oloviannaia Raion, Chita Oblast, RSFSR. Population, 10,500 (1970). Situated on the left bank of the Onon River (Amur Basin), Oloviannaia has a railroad station on the Karymskaia-Zabaikal’sk line, 249 km southeast of Chita. Local industry includes a plant producing transport lifting equipment, a construction materials plant, and a dairy. A meat-packing combine is located in the settlement.
