OpenAL
(OPENAudio Library) A cross-platform 3D audio programming interface available for Windows, Mac, Linux, Unix and game consoles. Originally developed by Loki Software, OpenAL is available as open source and also under license from Creative Labs. An alternative to Microsoft's DirectSound interface, OpenAL supports Creative Labs environmental extensions (see EAX). For more information, visit www.openal.org.
