Orto-Tokoi

 

an urban-type settlement in Issyk-Kul’ Oblast, Kirghiz SSR; it is under the jurisdiction of the Rybach’e city soviet. Orto-Tokoi is located on the Chu River, 20 km southwest of the Rybach’e railroad station (the terminus of the Lugovaia-Rybach’e line). The Orto-Tokoi Reservoir is situated 2 km above the settlement. Built in 1960, the reservoir has an area of 24 sq km. Its waters are used for irrigation.
