Ostrów Wielkopolski

 

a city in Poland, in Kalisz Województwo. Population, 52,300 (1973). A railroad junction, the city has a railroad repair depot, plants manufacturing automatic equipment and other machinery, a brewery, and plywood and garment factories. Gas is extracted nearby.
