Ozery
a city (since 1925) under oblast jurisdiction, the administrative center of Ozery Raion, Moscow Oblast, RSFSR. A landing on the left bank of the Oka River. Terminus of a branch (39 km long) of the Moscow-Riazan’ railroad line, 155 km southeast of Moscow. Population, 27,000 (1974). Ozery has a cotton-textile combine. It also has a house of rest and a sanatorium.
