PIDF

(Presence Information Document Format) An XML document from the IETF that contains the name, address and current status of an instant messaging user. PIDF documents are exchanged when users subscribe to a buddy list or when users are notified that a buddy has gone online or offline. See IMPP. See also PDIF.
