polyvinylidene fluoride

[¦päl·i·vī′nil·ə‚dēn ′flu̇r‚īd]
(organic chemistry)
Fluorocarbon polymer made from vinylidene fluoride, (H2C=CF2); has good tensile and compressive strength and high impact strength; used in chemical equipment for gaskets, impellers, and other pump parts, and for drum linings and protective coatings.

We will report on the crystallographic phase changes brought by nanoparticle addition to the well-known piezoelectric polymer poly(vinylidene fluoride), PVF2. Finally, we will describe some recent developments in calorimetry that involve measurement of the specific heat capacity under extreme limits, which complements traditional DSC.
Over a very short period of time they had developed a unique colour in a PVF2 paint finish which met all of the architect's requirements.
Colorcoat Prisma[R] offers a technically and aesthetically superior pre-finished steel product over PVDF (Pvf2), supported by Confidex[R] Guarantee of up to 25 years only available from Corus.
There is considerable disagreement over the equilibrium melting point ([T.sub.m.][degrees]) and enthalpy of fusion ([DELTA][H.sub.f][degrees]) of perfectly crystalline PVF2 (41-43).
California Finished Metals, Rancho Cucamonga, California, coil coater for the project, applied a high-build paint system with a topcoat of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVF2), 70 percent Kynar resin, to the aluminum coil stock using the reverse roll coat method of coil coating.
This involve producing biaxially oriented tubular film of polyvinyledene fluoride (PVF2) by blending in varying amounts of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), which is miscible with polyvinyledene fluoride [22].
The building is roofed with PVF2 finish silver Kalzip 65/400 aluminium standing seam in a gentle horizontal curve, from which the flue stack soars upwards with 'ski slope' curve at one end and horseshoe curve at the other.
Unlike the other buildings, which have concrete or brick walls, the cabins have sandwich panel walls, with polyurethane between an external layer of PVF2 coated aluminium and enamelled internal particle board.
