Pamir-Fergana Race

 

(also Middle Asian Mesopotamian race) a small race belonging to the large Europeoid race. Members are distinguished by relatively dark pigmentation, a narrow, strongly projecting nose, a rather strong development of the tertiary hair cover, and brachycephaly. The Pamir-Fergana race consists chiefly of Tadzhiks, especially mountain Tadzhiks, and Uzbeks.
