Party Organizer of the Central Committee of the CPSU

 

(partorg of the CC of the CPSU), during the period 1933–61, a party worker appointed by the Central Committee (CC) to strengthen leadership and political work in certain spheres of socialist construction that had become especially important to the national economy. Party organizers were assigned, for example, to large industrial enterprises and to construction projects. They were appointed from among those who had been elected to the post of secretary of a party committee bureau of a primary party organization.
