Penmanship Manual

 

a manual for teaching handwriting, consisting of examples of ways to write letters, letter combinations, words, and sentences acceptable at general-education schools. As a rule, modern penmanship manuals are based on an unconstrained, flowing, and simple mode of forming letters, ensuring the development of a rapid handwriting.
