Perfil’ev, Il’ia

 

(Perfir’ev). Dates of birth and death unknown. Russian explorer.

In 1633 a detachment of Cossacks led by Perfil’ev and accompanied by the detachment of I. Rebrov traveled down the Lena River and journeyed by sea to the lana River. Perfil’ev remained on the lana until 1638. He penetrated the Iana’s upper reaches and established the Verkhoiansk Winter Quarters there.
