Perkins, Dexter

(1952–  ) geologist; born in Boston, Mass. A University of Michigan Ph.D., he joined the geology faculty of the University of North Dakota (1981). His research focused on high grade rocks in the pre-Cambrian shield, the thermodynamics of minerals and mineral systems, and the evolution of the earth's crust.
