Pescara,
city (1991 pop. 122,236), capital of Pescara prov., in Abruzzi, central Italy, on the Adriatic Sea at the mouth of the Pescara River. It is a fishing port and a seaside resort. Pescara
a city in southern Italy, on the Adriatic Sea. Capital of Pescara Province, in the region of Abruzzi. Population, 122,600 (1971). Pescara has a steel foundry and enterprises that manufacture machines, chemicals, rubber, foodstuffs, garments, cement, ceramics, and majolica pottery. It is also a fishing port.
