Phosphatidyl Serine

any of the natural organic compounds of the phospholipid group. Phosphatidyl serines are formed from residues of glycerin, fatty acids, phosphoric acid, and the amino acid serine. They are components of biological membranes and are present in significant quantities in nerve tissue. Phosphatidyl serines are synthesized in the liver (seeCEPHALINS and LIPIDS).

The researchers have found that phosphatidylserine flipping occurs in cells infected with influenza, the herpes simplex virus and viruses in the families of the small pox and rabies viruses.
In order to clarify the mechanism of the sesquiterpenes perezone- and isoperezone-induced cell death, modification in cell size and granularity, translocation of phosphatidylserine, activation of caspase-3, mitochondrial potential and the presence of the inducing apoptosis factor (AIF) in the cytoplasm were evaluated.
New research suggests that the biochemical processes that lead to cognitive decline represent a modifiable risk factor for the development of dementia, including Alzheimer's disease, and that two essential brain nutrients, phosphatidylserine and alpha-glycerylphosphorylcholine (GPC), may enable aging humans to forestall or even reverse declines in memory and cognitive performance.
(5,6) A double-blind study involving bovine-brain-derived phosphatidylserine found it was able to improve both behavior and cognition in elderly people with cognitive decline.
Summary: The report covers an unbiased analysis on various market aspects, emphasizing major trends giving direction to the market, key opportunities paving new growth avenues, key drivers pushing the market's growth and challenges and restraints hindering the market for Phosphatidylserine across the globe.
[UKPRwire, Tue Apr 23 2019] A new report titled " Phosphatidylserine Market -- Valuable Growth Prospects and Insights on Future Scenario " has been included in the enormous research repository of Market Research Reports Search Engine (MRRSE) that compiles various facets of the Phosphatidylserine market at a global level portraying a holistic analysis of the marketplace along with intelligence on key participants.
The study seeks to explore the marker of apoptosis phosphatidylserine expressed on the cell surface of tumours responding to treatments.
XQ-350 is a first-in-class agent composed of the multifunctional, lysosomal activator protein Saposin C and phosphatidylserine. It has demonstrated pre-clinical antitumor effects in vitro and in vivo, particularly in brain and other solid tumours, including those that may lead to brain metastases.
Studies have shown that there are specific vitamin and mineral supplements that can protect and improve brain function, such as vitamin B1 that helps with nerve transmissions that are usually seen to weaken among dementia patients, vitamin C that helps clean out toxins, vitamin B6 that helps in proper nerve function, vitamin E that improves brain function, zinc that aids in memory and are seen to be lower among older individuals, vitamin B12 and folic acid that are also beneficial as it lowers the levels of amino acids linked to dementia, and Phosphatidylserine, a chemical produced by the body that reportedly helps in information processing, thinking, and memory retention.
Coupled with other nutrients such as phosphatidylserine, blueberry, vinpocetine, and others, sage can be an important component of a comprehensive formula for the brain.
Multiple mechanisms have been proposed, including "bystander hemolysis," increased hemolysis by activated macrophages, increased RBC exposure of phosphatidylserine, and suppression of erythropoiesis.
