Common tropical plant up to 2 ft tall (70cm) Opposite simple pale green leaves sometimes flushed with red. Tiny smooth seed capsules. Called "stone breaker", used for gallstones, kidney stones, urinary infections, hepatitis A, B, C, optimal liver, kidney and bladder function, antiviral, antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-hypoglycemic, antispasmodic, muscle relaxant, stimulates production of bile, and helps clear blockages and obstructions throughout the body and organs. Helps eliminate mucus, uric acid crystals (as in gout). Used to treat malaria, typhoid fever, flu, colds, constipation, dysentery, or stomach ache, inflammation of the bowels (IBS), pimples, diabetes, ulcers, prostate disorders, asthma, tumors, bladder infections, as a diuretic, for painful joints, jaundice, indigestion, constipation, vaginitis, viruses of the reproductive tract, poor circulation, excessive phlegm, bronchitis, and coughs.
