Piasina Inlet

 

an inlet of the Kara Sea, off the Taimyr Peninsula. Piasina Inlet extends 170 km inland. It is approximately 200 km wide at the entrance, and its maximum depth reaches 25 m. There are several islands in the inlet, including Zapadnyi Kamennyi, Vostochnyi Kamennyi, and Rastorguev. The Piasina River empties into the inlet. Piasina Inlet is icebound most of the year.
