Pilbeam, David R. (Roger)

(1940–  ) physical anthropologist; born in Brighton, England. He came to the U.S.A. to teach at Yale (1968–81), then joined the Harvard faculty (1981). A paleoanthropologist and biometrician, he wrote extensively on human and nonhuman primate evolution, including primate dentition and mastication.
