Piscis Austrinus

(pÿ -siss aw-strÿ -nÿ-nŭs, -stree -) (Southern Fish) A small constellation in the southern hemisphere near Grus, the brightest stars being of 4th magnitude apart from the 1st-magnitude Fomalhaut. Abbrev.: PsA; genitive form: Piscis Austrini; approx. position: RA 22.5h, dec –30°; area: 245 sq deg.

Piscis Austrinus

 

(the Southern Fish), a constellation of the southern hemisphere; its brightest star, Fomalhaut, has a visual stellar magnitude of 1.2. The constellation is most easily viewed in August; it is visible from the southern and central regions of the USSR. (SeeSTELLAR SKY.)

far below the Circlet and the Square, but Piscis Austrinus is uninteresting save for 1st-magnitude Fomalhaut.
The Southern Delta Aquarids are part of a complex of radiants - or the points in the sky where the meteors come from - in the constellations Aquarius, Capricornus and Piscis Austrinus.
