Pogrebishche

 

an urban-type settlement and administrative center of Pogrebishche Raion, Vinnitsa Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Population, 10,300 (1974). Situated on the Ros’ River (a right tributary of the Dnieper), Pogrebishche is 2 km from the Rzhevusskaia railroad station, which is on the Kazatin-Khristinovka line. Its factories produce sugar, butter, bread, nonfat powdered milk, mixed feed, reinforced-concrete articles, and bricks. Pogrebishche has a medical school.
