Polonnoe

 

a city (since 1938) and administrative center of Polonnoe Raion, Khmel’nitskii Oblast, Ukrainian SSR. Situated on the Khomora River in the Dnieper River basin. Railroad station on the Kazatin-Shepetovka line. Population, 23,700 (1974). Polonnoe has plants that produce porcelain, artistic ceramics, crushed stone, and construction materials. It also has a brickyard, a cheese plant, and a factory that processes secondary raw materials.
