Porphyry System

(religion, spiritualism, and occult)

The Porphyry, or Porphyrian, system is one of the older systems of house division, obtained by evenly trisecting the ecliptic in each of the four quadrants. It was named after the neoplatonic philosopher Porphyry, who is said to have devised it.

Follow-up deeper drilling is being planned as a priority to target the high-grade core of the Thursdays Gossan porphyry system.
The Tango polymetallic project consists of four tenements along the western Edge of the Sierra Madre Occidental plateau which overlaps a porphyry system centred in Southern Sinaloa State, Mexica.
The drilling program more than doubled the mineralized footprint of the Hilltop porphyry system to approximately 600 m by 500 m.
The Phase I drill programme includes seven drill holes for an estimated total of 2,500 meters and is intended to test the targets defined to date, an outcropping disseminated gold epithermal system hosted within sedimentary rocks and an underlying, intrusive-hosted, copper - gold porphyry system.
The studies indicate that the intrusive intersected by hole NEV027 is a porphyry and bears all the hallmarks of a typical porphyry system, some of which are responsible for some of the largest copper gold deposits in PNG and the world.
announced the discovery of a copper bearing porphyry system at Dona Loretta, within the Bayaguana joint venture in the Dominican Republic, reports CNW Telbec (July 20, 2004).
The company expects that Majuba Hill is a newly defined copper/silver/gold porphyry system that is highly prospective for a bulk-tonnage, open pit deposit.
The company said that the programme will focus on further exploring the potential of a large copper/gold porphyry system on the property.
The high pyrite to chalcopyrite ratio, the lack of intrusive rocks, and the distribution of more volatile and distal peripheral element assemblages (arsenic antimony lead and zinc) suggest that the Hole PEED1 was drilled into the edge of a porphyry system, in an outer alteration zone which would not be expected to host ore grade copper gold mineralisation.
Past work has defined a large multi-stage and phase porphyry system with at least four centres located along more than four kilometers of strike extent.
Furthermore, the 2008 exploration program, within the El Oso Zone, has confirmed that the entire down faulted top to the Main Zone copper skarn, the entire west flanking copper skarn, and a complete molybdenum porphyry system remain to be explored at Cobre Grande.
