Preganglionic Nerve Fiber

 

a fiber of the autonomic nervous system that unites the central nervous system with the peripheral ganglia. The preganglionic nerve fiber enters into synaptic communication with the body and with dendrites of the nerve cells whose axons form the postganglionic nerve fiber.
