Primary Sex Characters

 

the anatomical structures distinguishing the male and female in animals and man and woman in humans. The primary sex characters are the gonads or sex glands (testes in males and ovaries in females) and the seminal ducts, penis, oviducts, uterus, and vagina. All other distinctions between the sexes are secondary sex characters.
