Probing Signal

Probing Signal

the radio signal transmitted by the antenna of a radar station. The probing signal is usually pulse-shaped. The structure of the pulse and its duration (from 0.01 μ sec to 1 msec) depends on the purpose of the station. The distance to a target is determined in radar location by the delay time between the probing signal and the signal reflected from the target (the echo signal).

The use of several channels of signals formation is necessary for modulation of the ultra-wideband probing signal (from two signals with a carrier [f.sub.c] and modulating [f.sub.m] frequencies) and generating the output signal of the heterodyne for the transceiver module with a frequency [f.sub.h].
For a correct simulation of the probing signal propagation in the insulation of the power cable characteristic impedance is accepted equal to 57.5 [ohm].
Energy enhancement is possible by increasing the amplitude of the probing signal or its duration [2].
Tomography is generally defined as the process of plane- wise imaging the internal properties of a subject using various types of probing signal. A complete tomography system consists of the processes of energizing from a source measurement data acquisition and data inversion (image reconstruction).
Then there are different types of tomography based on the choice of the probing signal (modality) e.g.
Electrical tomography having probing signal frequency in GHz range is considered separately as microwave tomography.

The main idea of these approaches is to design the proper probing signals according to the desired transmit beampattern.
The electromagnetic probing signal will react strongly with the conducting material and readily disclose the cave structure.
"While probing signals in the area, we spotted foreign and enemy drones which attempted to enter the area of the war game.
Emphasis is placed upon the ability of MIMO systems to transmit beyond single waveforms and to freely choose between multiple probing signals.
