Pryor, Roger Atkinson

(1829–1919) U.S. representative; born in Petersburg, Va. A journalist (1852–59), he served in Congress (Dem., Va.; 1859–61), resigning to join the Confederate army. He later was a lawyer and judge (1866–1919) in New York City.
