Pushcha-Voditsa

 

a climatic health resort in the Ukrainian SSR. Pushcha-Voditsa is located within the boundaries of Kiev, on the right bank of the Dnieper. The summers are warm (average July temperature is 19°C) and the winters are moderate (average January temperature is – 6°C); precipitation measures approximately 620 mm annually.

Climatotherapy is used in Pushcha-Voditsa. The city has many sanatoriums, including those for adults and children that suffer from active forms of tuberculosis of the lungs and from the aftereffects of tubercular meningitis; there is also a neurological sanatorium for adults in Pushcha-Voditsa.
