Q-switching lasers produce very short pulses at very high peak power.
The other topics are threshold gain, gain saturation, analytical solutions, thermal issues, generating massive inversions through Q-switching, non-linear lasers, and common lasers and parameters.
These lasers can operate in three modes: continuous-wave, Q-switching, and mode-locking.
