, and in Paris. His monumental work is marked by a quality of reserve. Of his statues the best known is Edwin Booth as Hamlet, in Gramercy Park, New York City. He made a number of figures for memorials, among them a Victory for the First World War Memorial at New Rochelle, N.Y. One of the most impressive of his many portrait busts is that of Edgar Allan Poe, Bronx, New York City. His Nymph, a statuette, is in the Metropolitan Museum, New York City.
