Radiotherapeutic Applicator

 

a small, hermetically sealed metallic box of varying shape, containing a solution of a beta-radiating isotope or a disc impregnated (saturated) with salts of the isotope; used for treatment of diseases of the surface layers of the skin and mucous membranes.
